It was the second consecutive year a first year Southwestern woman won the award with Hartsell taking it last year and sharing it with Stovall this year. Both earned two NCAA 'B" Cuts.
The Pirates finished third overall with a score of 703, finishing behind Trinity (932) and Colorado College (830). Southwestern set a school record in the 400 free relays with Stovall, Hartsell, Cara Chin and Ashley Harmon earning a time of 3:31.88.
On the final day of competition, Harmon became the first swimmer—man or woman—to to win the 1,650 free (17:30.78) and 200 fly (2:07.74), setting school records in each event. Stovall took gold in the 100 free, setting a school record with a time of 51.49, and Hartsell won in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.86).
