McMurry's Alyssa Daily who used her speed against the Pirate defense to make the first goal of the game, making the game 1-0 in the first half. Southwestern, which has experienced being down before in their game against East Texas Baptist, still tried to move the ball around to try and penetrate the War Hawk defense.
