Chrissy Supak Miller joins the Southwestern Tennis program as the Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Teams. Miller, a native of Georgetown, graduated from Georgetown High School in 1991 where she was a USTA 16’s and 18’s Super Champ, 4-year starting letterman for Volleyball and Tennis, and also competed in Varsity Basketball and National Club Travel Volleyball teams. Upon graduating with honors from GHS, Miller went on to play Division III Tennis for Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
As Co-Captain of Trinity University Women’s Tennis Team, Miller helped lead the Tigers to 4 appearances at the NCAA Division III Team National tournaments: 1992 (Team finished 9th in Nation), 1993 (Team finished 3rd in Nation), 1994 (Team finished 3rd in Nation), and 1995 (Team finished 4th in Nation). As a recipient of the National All-American Award, Miller also received All-Conference SCAC honors in both singles and doubles in 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995. A doubles specialist, Miller captured the Rolex/ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) West Championship Doubles Title in Claremont, California three consecutive Fall years 1992, 1993, and 1994. Miller earned spots to compete in singles and doubles at the Individual NCAA National tournaments in Kalamazoo, MI (1992), Northfield, MN (1993), Kalamazoo, MI (1994) and Sweet Briar, VA (1995). Miller reached the quarterfinals and semifinals in doubles in 1994 and 1995 respectively.
Upon graduating from Trinity University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Miller pursued a career in business management, marketing and communications working in various industries from home building to international manufacturing & sales distribution. All-the-while, Miller continued coaching tennis and volleyball privately on-the-side.
Coach Miller’s love for the thrill of competition is contagious and cannot be extinguished. Miller’s coaching philosophy embraces the core DIII values where she will focus on preparing student-athletes to be the most prepared individual they can be; always giving 100%, on and off the court.
Miller and her husband Tim have two children, Samantha and Zachary and reside in Georgetown.
