LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2012 fall term and 338 student-athletes made the list. Since its inception in 1997, 20,600 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
The Southwestern women's cross country team led the Pirates with 10 of their 14 student-athletes (71.4%) named in the report. Men's soccer and women's soccer each had 16 athletes earn a spot while volleyball posted nine and men's cross country three.
