PENNINGTON EARNS SCAC TENNIS ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTION
SUWANEE, Ga. - Senior Mary Pennington made the most of her final tournament as a Pirate, going 3-1 through four matches at the 2010 Conference Tournament, to earn All-Tournament honors.
Pennington (pictured) went 3-0 through her first three matches before being falling to Colorado College in #3 singles action in the Pirates' match for fifth place. Southwestern ultimately fell to Colorado to end the tournament in sixth place.
Any player (or doubles team) that goes through the conference tournament undefeated is named to the all-tournament team automatically, but a player (or doubles team) must compete in at least two matches at the tournament to be considered. If no one player or team goes undefeated using the above criteria, then the next best record at that position will be named to the all-tournament team.
