Pirates Rounding Into Form vs Austin College

Georgetown, Texas – The Southwestern Women's Swimming Team won their meet this weekend beating Austin College by a score of 118 to 66

The Pirates, who have been working hard getting ready for the SCAC Championships and showed that the hard work is garnering results.  The 200 relay team made up of Sarah McCausland, Emily Haskell, Blythe Nava, and Sarah Alpini is rounding into form nicely , they placed 1st with a time of 1:56.58.  The 400 Relay team made up of Melissa Nelson, Blythe Nava, Emily Haskell, and Sarah McCausland also placed 1st with a time of 3:58.02.
Sarah Alpini placed 1st in the 200 Freestyle and she did it with a personal best time of 2:04.34 and the 500 Freestyle. Emily Haskell placed 1st in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:10.65. Melissa Nelson placed 1st in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:24.76. Mara Weidmann placed 1st in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 27.14.
 
The Pirates pulled out something special for this event with the addition of having a Diving Team compete for the first time. Bonnie Maddox,  Abby Miller, Andrea Bruti ,all did a great job.
 
The Pirates next meet will be January 26, 2013 vs Centenary College in Shreveport La.
