Pirates Place 5th At The Tiger Invitational

Southlake, Texas – The Southwestern Women's swimming team placed 5th at the Tiger Invitational. The Pirates swam hard against very tough competition.

Emily Haskell Placed 2nd in the 200 Breaststroke 2:35.04 and also placed 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:10.53
 
Bylthe Nava placed 12th in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 25.96. Sarah McCausland came in 6th place in the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 5:01.71. Emmy Gradiser placed 17th in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:10.70, Jessi Winter was right behind her in the 100 Backstroke coming in 19th with a time of 1:12.45
 
The 200 Freestyle relay team placed 6th with a time of 1:45.80, the team is made up of Bylthe Nava, Emily Haskell, Sarah Alpini, and Mara Weidmann. The 400 Medley relay team placed 7th with a time of 4:25.38 this group is made up of swimmers Emmy Gradiser, Emily Haskell, Melissa Nelson, and Bylthe Nava. The 200 Medley relay team also placed 7th with a time of 1:58.95 the team is made of Emily Haskell, Emmy Gradiser, Bylthe Nava, and Sarah Alpini
 

The Pirates next event will be Jan 12th at the Austin College for the Austin College Invitational.
