Pirates Drop First Meet To Trinity

The Southwestern University Women's Swimming Team lost their meet to Trinity University this weekend. Although the Pirates lost, there were a ton of positives to look forward to as the season goes on.  The first is that several of the Pirates times dropped a full second from their meet last week.

The 200 Medley Relay team came in 3rd place with a time of (1:58.97). The Team made up of Emmy Gradisar, Emily Haskell, Blythe Nava, and Sarah Alpini will be a formidable team to beat as the season goes on.

Emily Haskell also showed well in her other events placing 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of (1:11.21) and bouncing right back and placing 2nd in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of (2:36.73)

Mara Weidmann was also a bright spot, as she placed 3rd in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of (2:24.26)

The Pirates look to bounce back when they travel to Abilene, Texas for a meet with McMurry University on November 2nd, 2012.
