PIRATE SWIMMING WELCOMES SARAH WOODBURY

Southwestern University's Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Dr. Glada Munt, announced Tuesday, July 20, 2010 the hiring of Sarah Woodbury as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach.

“I am very excited about Sarah’s personality and experience,” says Head Coach Dan Carrington. “She will be a huge asset to the team. I am looking forward to building this program with her.”

Woodbury is a 2007 graduate of Brigham Young University where she swam competitively for four years. After college, Woodbury traveled to New Zealand and trained with the national team. Currently, she is a coach for the Anderson Mill Swim Club and Cedar Park Typhoons. Woodbury is not a stranger to the Austin area; she swam for Round Rock Westwood High School where she was a record holder in four events.
