2010-11
Ayers became Southwestern's first-ever All-American with a seventh place finish in the 100 back at the NCAA Championships, finishing in a time of 56.51. She won the event at the SCAC Championships and took second in the 100 fly, fifth in the 100 free. Ayers was a member of the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay that took fifth at the SCAC Championships and the 400 medley relay that finished in fourth with a time of 4:04.09, seven seconds faster than their seed time. Ayers was named SCAC Swimmer of the Week January 10-17 and was selected to the All-SCAC Team.
2008-2009 (First Year)
Was a member of the 400 and 200 medley relay teams that came in third and 200 and 400 free relay team that finished in fifth place at the SCAC Championships…individually finished in third in the 100 backstroke, seventh in the 100 butterfly, and eighth in the 200 back.
High School
Sarah is a 2008 graduate of Stratford High School in Houston, TX. She competed in water polo in addition to swimming and was captain her junior and senior year as well as being a member of the All-American and team record 200 Medley Relay. She was valedictorian of her class and was also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
Sarah is the daughter of Chris and Linda Ayers and she has one brother, Chris. Sarah is majoring in Mathematics and Education while at Southwestern.
