The 2008 All-SCAC Women's Soccer awards were announced by the conference office and 7 Southwestern University players were recognized for their play this season.

Junior Forward A.J. Andreola was named to the All-SCAC First Team.  Andreola lead the Pirates this season in points with 8 goals including 3 against Oglethorpe.  She played in all 18 games this season, starting in 12 of those contests.

Junior Laura Kromann and Sophomore Lauren Kjolhede were both named to the All-SCAC Second Team.  Kromann, a midfielder for the Pirates, often served as the catalyst for the offense with her tough, agressive play.  She started in all 18 games this season and scored against Sewanee.

Kjolhede anchored the defense for the Pirates by starting all 18 games.  She was a big contributor in the victory against DePauw late in the season by allowing no shots on goal. She also tallied 3 goals and a team high 7 assists during the season.

The All-SCAC Third Team consisted of four Pirates, Sophomore Madison Stachura, Senior Danielle Madison, Senior Casey Grier and Senior Eryn Snyder.  Stachura was also a strong point in the Pirate defense, also aiding in the shutout against DePauw.  She started 15 contests and tallied one assist this season.

Madison, a SU midfielder, started all 18 games this season and left a mark while doing so.  She was the second leading point earner for the Pirates this year with 20 points from her 7 assists and 6 goals, including 2 crucial assists against conference foe Trinity.

Grier aided the attack for the Pirates as a forward totaling 6 goals and three assists on the year.  She also started in 13 of the 17 games she played this season.

Snyder served as the Pirates goalkeeper this year and started all 18 games.  She allowed only 6 goals this year and recorded 51 saves.

The Pirates ended the season 13-4-1 and finished in third place in the SCAC conference.
