Coach Baclawski took the helm of the Southwestern Women's Soccer team in the Fall of 2008. In her second season, she guided the team to a fifth place finish in the conference with a 4-4-1 record in the SCAC and 10-8-1 overall. Under Baclawski, the Pirates achieved their first regional ranking in program history in 2008. During her two seasons as head coach, ten Pirates have been named to SCAC All-Conference Teams with two NSCAA All-South Region selections. Baclawski came to Southwestern after serving for two years as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach and Coordinator of the Athlete Tutor Program at Emory University. She has experience working on a nationally-ranked NCAA Division III women's soccer staff as the Eagles ranked as high as seventh in the nation during the 2007 season and number one in the South Region. In Baclawski's two years with Emory, the teams posted a record of 25-8-4.
A Texas native, Baclawski comes to Southwestern with a knowledge of the state and strong recruiting connections. She was a Texas All-State High School Selection and member of three Martin HS (Arlington, TX) teams who advanced to the State Tournament (2003-2005). In addition to having over ten years experience working as a club coach in Atlanta, Georgia, she currently serves as a staff trainer for the Austin Texans Youth Soccer Club. Baclawski is working on competing the requirements for her Ph.D. in Sports Studies from the University of Georgia and has earned a Master's Degree in Women's Studies from Georgia State University along with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from Queens College. Baclawski played three seasons of NCAA Division II soccer at Queens University of Charlotte, North Carolina and was a member of Georgia Women's Amateur Team and played one season with Charlotte Lady Eagles (W-League)
Baclawski holds a USSF "A" coaching license, National Youth License, and NSCAA Goalkeeping License (Levels I & II). She has experience working as a fitness and physical education instructor and has developed strength/speed and agility programs for athletes. She is an avid runner and cyclist who competes in multiple races each year and trains daily with her two rescue dogs: Copa and Abbey.

Assistant Coach Amanda Garrison
Amanda Garrison enters her second season on the sidelines for the
Pirates. Along with her assistant soccer coach duties she will
serve as the goalkeeper trainer and is the assistant coach for the
Men's and Women's Tennis programs.
Garrison, a native of Kentucky, came to Texas to be a part of Rice University's inaugural women's soccer team. As a goalkeeper, she was a Second Team All-WAC selection in 2001 and was the team MVP in her rookie season for the Owls. Throughout her tenure between the pipes, she helped the Owls to winning the programs first Conference USA championship and received Academic All-Conference honors throughout her five years of competition.
Since 2002, she has worked as a goalkeeper coach/trainer for
various camps and from 2005-2006 she was the Head Sports Camp
Counselor at the Downtown Club in Houston, TX. After her graduation
from Rice in 2006, Garrison has worked with kids as a ski
instructor for the Aspen Ski Company.
2008 [Junior Year]
Played in 17 matches for the Pirates and started in three
contests...scored five goals on the year with one coming in
conference action...was the fifth leading point getter with 10
points.
2007 [Sophomore Year]
Miller appeared in 17 matches while starting in 5 contests for the
Bucs in her sophomore season...registered one goal on the season
for a total of 2 points...took 13 shots on the year with 6 being on
goal...started 3 of 9 SCAC matches that she appeared in and her
lone goal came in a 2-1 win vs. DePauw on Oct. 21 where she tied
the game at 1-1.
2006 [First Year]
Miller appeared in 15 games in her first year with the Pirates...
started 14 games... scored her only goal of the season in a 3-0
victory of SCAC opponent Oglethorpe... put four of her six shots on
goal.
High School
Miller was a District 15-5A Honorable Mention All-District
selection during her senior season with the Tigers... played soccer
for four years at Stony Point and ran Cross Country and Track for
three years.
Personal
Miller is the daughter of Harold and Nancy Miller...has one
brother - Daniel and one sister - Jessica... is majoring in
kinesiology with a minor in Education.
