Letzer Named as SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Chelsea Letzer, a senior midfielder from Copperas Cove, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 10 through Sunday, September 16.

Letzer was not only crucial in helping the Pirates secure their first shut out of the season, but she also added one goal and two assists from the defensive line for the Pirates on Sunday.

Letzer ended the weekend with four points, taking three shots for a .333 shot percentage.

Southwestern currently sits at 1-6 on the season and come home to open SCAC conference action on Saturday, facing Trinity University at 2 p.m.
