Curran, Bentley Earn All-SCAC Third Team Honors
SUWANEE, Ga. – In exclusive voting by the head women's soccer coaches of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), senior forward Jillian Curran and first-year midfielder Carol Bentley were selected to the All-SCAC Third Team.
Curran tied for the lead in scoring for the Pirates this season, recording four goals while also posting one assists. Her nine points tied her for the most on the team. Curran took 36 shots this season and posted a .111 shot percentage. Her three game-winning goals was tops for Southwestern and fifth in the conference.
Bentley made a name for herself in her first season as a Pirate, playing in all 17 contests and starting 14 times this season in the midfield. She scored one goal in her supporting role and took 15 shots with a .067 shot percentage.
The Pirates just narrowly missed out on the SCAC Conference Tournament after finishing 8-7-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the SCAC.
