THREE PIRATES NAMED TO ALL-SCAC TEAM
SUWANEE, Ga. – Senior A.J. Andreola (pictured, right)
highlights Southwestern’s three selections on the 2009
All-SCAC teams as a Second Team pick. Andreola is joined by Amy
Douglas (pictured, middle) and Maria Pollifrone (pictured, left)
who were both Third Team All-SCAC selections.
Andreola, a senior midfielder from Garland, Texas, led the Pirates
in goals with nine, starting all 19 games of the season. She had
two game winning goals and one assist on the season.
Douglas, a junior forward from Missouri City, Texas, was third on
the team in points scoring four goals and recording a team high
four assists. She has started in 14 of the 19 contests she has
played in this year. Douglas also had two game winning goals for
the Pirates.
Pollifrone, a sophomore midfielder from Arlington, Texas, scored
nine points on four goals and one assist with two of her goals
being game winning. Her .200 shot percentage is the highest for the
Pirates as she started 18 of the 19 contests she saw action in.
Southwestern ended the year 10-8-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the
conference, finishing on a three game winning streak.
