Speck Named as NGCA All-American Scholar

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida – The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced today with a total of 566 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. including Southwestern University sophomore, Karissa Speck.  The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Speck is one of just 85 Division III women's golfers to earn the honor and 13 SCAC recipients.

Speck was also selected to the NGCA All-Region and All-SCAC team this season, posting an 83.35 scoring average in nine tournaments in her sophomore season. She posted four top 10 finishes this season including coming in eighth place overall, first in the region, at the SCAC Conference Championships.

The Pirates closed out the season with a fourth place finish at the SCAC Championships.
