PIRATES RACK UP AWARDS AT NGCA AWARDS DINNER

HOWEY IN THE HILLS, Fla. - The National Golf Coaches Association announced their national and regional post season awards at their annual banquet at the NCAA Championships on Wednesday night and the Southwestern Women's Golf team brought home five awards on the evening.

Senior Kristen Davenport led the way, winning awards in three categories. She was named as All-Region, All-Scholastic and First Team All-American during the banquet. Teammates senior Cody Wallace and first-year Kelsey Coburn joined Davenport as All-Region selections.

After two rounds of play at the NCAA Championships the Pirates are in the top 10, tied for ninth place at 106 over par and are just five strokes out of cracking into the top five.

Southwestern resumes action on Thursday at 12:30 pm for Round 3 and will wrap up the Championships on Friday.
