WOMENS GOLF ENDS DAY ONE IN SEVENTH AT DIII FALL CHAMPIONSHIP
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – After one day of competition at the
DIII Fall Championship held in South Bend, IN the Pirates sit in
seventh place. Southwestern in competing against eight of the top
ten schools in the nation.
Senior Kristen Davenport led the way for the Pirates with a 78,
coming in a tie for ninth place. Fellow senior Cody Wallace had the
second best round for SU with an 82 which was good enough for 23rd
place while junior Emily Bartholet was close behind with an 83,
tying for 28th.
First-years Kelsey Coburn, Stephanie Scholer, and Erin Perry had
solid showings in their first collegiate round shooting a 90, 91,
and 94 respectively.
The Pirates close out the Championship with final rounds on Monday.
