18 Pirates Earn Chi Alpha Sigma Honors
Southwestern University had 18 student-athletes inducted into the 2011 class of the Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletic Honor Society on Wednesday. This award is presented annually to juniors and seniors who have earned an athletic letter, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better and are community members in good standing.

54 Student-Athletes Receive Senior Watches at Annual Ceremony

Bartell, Caputo Selected to SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team
SUWANEE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its third annual Men’s and Women’s Basketball All-Sportsmanship teams. Twelve men’s basketball and twelve women’s basketball student-athletes were selected to the 2010-11 squads, including Southwestern's Katelyn Bartell and Nick Caputo.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Rhodes opened the game shooting 66.7% from three point range and 51.7% in the first half and ended the game better than 50% from both to defeat Southwestern 88-75 on Saturday night despite SU having 25 more shot attempts during the game.

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern women’s basketball team allowed 47 first half points and were unable to recover as they fell to East leading DePauw on Saturday night 77-47. The Pirates fall to 13-5 overall and 5-4 in the SCAC and are in danger of losing their one game lead in the West. DePauw improves to 15-3 on the year and 8-1 in the conference.
