105 Pirates Earn SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll Honors
SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named 1,037 student-athletes to the 2012 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total is the third-highest for a single period in the history of the award.

Nicholls, Tuttle Selected as Kassen/Lowry Athletes-of-the-Year 2012
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Southwestern University announced the 2012 Dr. Tex Kassen and Dr. Carla Lowry Athlete-of-the-Year awards which denote the top male and female athlete at Southwestern for that given school year. Senior volleyball setter Christina Nicholls and sophomore men’s track & field athlete Daniel Tuttle were chosen among numerous candidates as this year’s recipients of the esteemed award.

Martinez, Myers Announced as SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team Members
SUWANEE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its fourth annual Men’s & Women’s Track & Field All-Sportsmanship teams. Twenty-two men’s and women’s track & field student-athletes were selected to the 2012 squad including Southwestern's Sam Martinez (pictured, left) and Kelly Myers (pictured, right).

Tuttle Brings SCAC Individual Title Back to Georgetown
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Daniel Tuttle gave the Southwestern men’s track and field team their first SCAC Individual Champion since 2008 with a win in the 110 hurdles in a time of 15.46. Two more SU records fell for the men as they finished in sixth place with 50.50 points, their highest finish since 2008.

2012 SCAC Spring Championships - Tournament Links and Brackets
SUWANEE, Ga. - The busiest weekend of the 2011-12 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference sports season has arrived. Championships in the spring sports will be decided over the course of four days beginning on Thursday, April 26 with the Southwestern softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf and men's and women's track & field competing.

39 Student-Athletes Receive Senior Watches at Annual Ceremony
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Thanks to the generous donations of parents, alumni and students in the Pirate Crew, Southwestern University's Booster Club, the Athletic Department was able to continue the tradition of awarding watches to senior athletes whom had completed eligibility while at SU. This is the third year for the ceremony.

Revamped Training Room Offers Better Service to Athletes
Thanks to generous donations and various fundraising events throughout the years the Southwestern University Athletic Department unveiled their newly remodeled athletic training facility this fall. The updates include an expanded treatment area, additional taping/treatment tables, custom paint (with logos still to come), a flat-screen television, new computers and new countertops.
