Pirates Take First Loss Of The Season

Odessa, Texas – The Southwestern Men's Swimming Team fought valiantly but went down to a very good UT- Permian Basin team. This was the first loss of the season for the Pirates who showed well despite being on the losing end.

The 200 Freestyle Relay team put together and impressive run and placed first with a time of 1:28.95. The team is made up of Dylan Johnson, Tommy Frashier, Ivan Cruickshank, and Kyler Wood.
 
Tommy Frashier who has been fantastic so far this season kept to his winning ways by placing first in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:09.41.  Dylan Johnson put up a season best time in the 50 Freestyle while placing first with a time of 21.97. Ty Lapinski looked impressive with a first place finish in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:55.50. Kyler Wood placed second in the 100 Breaststroke and broke his own record with a time of 59.83
 
The Pirates will be back in action November 16th 2012 at the Southwest Shooutout in Southlake Texas.
