39 Student-Athletes Receive Senior Watches at Annual Ceremony
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Thanks to the generous donations of parents, alumni and students in the Pirate Crew, Southwestern University's Booster Club, the Athletic Department was able to continue the tradition of awarding watches to senior athletes whom had completed eligibility while at SU. This is the third year for the ceremony.

Pirates Take on Austin Aztex for Spring Play
GEORGETOWN, Texas - For their only spring play date of the season the Southwestern men's soccer team will face the semi-pro Austin Aztex at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 20th on the Maple Street fields. Several youth soccer organizations will catch the action as the Aztex promote their return to Austin and upcoming summer season.

Perkins Named CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team
The 2011 Capital One Academic All-District ® Men's Soccer Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs in 2011. Southwestern junior, Evan Perkins, was selected to the Second Team.

The Southwestern men's soccer team's magic ran out on Saturday evening as they fell to Oglethorpe University in the Semifinals of the SCAC Conference Tournament. The loss ends the Pirates' season at 8-10-1 overall and 4-5 in the SCAC.

Thanks to a generous donation from current parents, the Athletic Department has installed lights on the soccer/lacrosse competition field and will soon install lights on the nearby pedestrian walkway and parking lot.

Revamped Training Room Offers Better Service to Athletes
Thanks to generous donations and various fundraising events throughout the years the Southwestern University Athletic Department unveiled their newly remodeled athletic training facility this fall. The updates include an expanded treatment area, additional taping/treatment tables, custom paint (with logos still to come), a flat-screen television, new computers and new countertops.
