SCHRECK NAMED SCAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Charlie Schreck, a sophomore defender from Missouri City, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, August 31 through Sunday, September 6.

Schreck was impressive in his first collegiate matches for Southwestern. He was a large part of the defense that logged two shutouts and allowed just 17 shots through three games as Southwestern went 3-0 in its opening week. He also scored the game winning goal, assisted by Alex Keller, against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

The Pirates have started the season 3-0 and will look to continue their undefeated streak at the Conference Challenge this coming weekend in Abilene, Texas.
