LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After a dominating win over the University of Dallas over the weekend, Southwestern junior Carter Cowan earned the SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week honors while Jacob Freed captured SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors.
Carter Cowan, a junior attacker from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March 24.
Cowan scored two goals and assisted on another as the Pirates beat Dallas, 13-2, on Sunday.
Cowan also added seven shots, three of which were on goal, while adding two ground balls in the win to help improve Southwestern 2-0 in league play.
Jacob Freed, a sophomore defender from Keller, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 11 through Sunday, March 17.
Freed caused four turnovers and totaled three groundballs in Southwestern's 13-2 win at Dallas on Sunday.
Southwestern sits at 5-6 on the year, 2-0 in the SCAC and return home to face Colorado College on Sunday at 11:30 am.
