FIRST HALF SINKS PIRATES

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Pirates fell behind early and were unable to recover as they fell 25-2 to Adrian College in their final game of the Spring Break trip.

Adrian jumped out to an early 7-0 lead after the first quarter and continued to build that lead through the second quarter. SU was able to push one goal past the Adrian defense before halftime, but went into the break down 16-1.

The Pirates' defense was sharper in the second half and held the high powered Bulldogs offense to nine second half goals.

SU was outshot 54-10 in the contest and had eight more turnovers. Connor Hanrahan had one goal and one assist to lead Southwestern while Edward Williams added one goal and Jamie Long had one assist.

The Pirates fall to 0-8 on the year and return home to host Western Connecticut State University on March 26th at 3:00 pm.
