18 Pirates Earn Chi Alpha Sigma Honors
Southwestern University had 18 student-athletes inducted into the 2011 class of the Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletic Honor Society on Wednesday. This award is presented annually to juniors and seniors who have earned an athletic letter, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better and are community members in good standing.

SCAC Announces Men's Golf All-Sportsmanship Team
SUWANEE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its third annual Men’s Golf All-Sportsmanship team. Ten men’s golf players were selected to the 2011 squad including Southwestern University first-year Cameron Button.

Pirates Finish in Third at SCAC Championships
Four of the five Southwestern men's golfers improved in their final round at the SCAC Championships, keeping the Pirates in third place at the end of the tournament.

Men's Golf Jumps Two Spots on Day Two
A stronger wind returned to the course at Horseshoe Bay as did a stronger Pirate team for Southwestern University as they moved up two spots into third place after two rounds at the SCAC Golf Championships.

Men's Golf Takes Third at West Region Invitational
Despite the less than ideal weather conditions the Southwestern men's golf team fared well as they hosted the West Region Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Teravista Golf Club. The Pirates finished in third place with 945 strokes through three rounds of play.

Men's Golf Faces Tough Competition at Kingsmen Invitational
Southwestern University took on some of the top men's golfers in the nation at the California Lutheran University Kingsmen Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The Pirates finished 12th at the tournament on the extremely challenging course.

MEN'S GOLF ENDS FALL SEASON AT SCHREINER FALL CLASSIC
KERRVILLE, Texas - The Pirate men's golf team ended their successful fall season with a fifth place finish at the Schreiner Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday. SU ended with 591 strokes and 31 over par as a team.

VAUGHAN TIES FOR WIN AT SCAC FALL PREVIEW
HORSESHOE BAY, Texas - Sophomore Mikey Vaughan shot a 77 and 75 in two rounds at the SCAC Fall Preview held at Horseshoe Bay on Monday and Tuesday to end tied for first place overall with TLU's Ryan Kiel. The Pirates finished in fifth place out of 11 teams.

BELTON, Texas - The Pirates closed out the final round at the UMHB Fall Invitational with a third place finish, just four strokes behind the winning team; Tyler Junior College. Southwestern was the highest Division III finisher by nine strokes.

HAINES CITY, Fla. – The Southwestern men’s golf team started the season off with the biggest challenge they could, facing the top teams in the nation at the Golfweek Invitational. The Pirates finished 14th out of the 15 team field and were just 14 strokes away from the top 10.
