PIRATE MEN TAKE SEVEN OF TOP EIGHT SPOTS IN DUAL MEET
GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern men’s golf team
fine-tuned their game and showed why they are one of the top
head-to-head teams, posting impressive numbers on Saturday in a
dual meet against the University of Dallas. The Pirates took the
top six slots and seven of the top eight.
Senior Ricky Jones came out hot shooting a 33 on the front nine and
a 36 on the back to end in first place with a three-under-par 69.
Sophomore Cody Patrick continues to improve with every round and
finished the day in second place with a one-over-par 73.
First-year James Charles was close behind with a two-over-par 74 to
end in third place. Three Pirates, sophomores Sean Madera and
Cameron Fanning and first-year Mikey Vaughan, finished in a tie for
fourth place. All shot a seven-over-par 79. First-year Matthew Hall
rounded out the Pirate golfers and the top eight with an 84.
Southwestern will continue fall action on October 5th at the Mary
Hardin-Baylor Invitational.
