Pirates Support Operation Blue Santa-Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Texas - This holiday season, the Southwestern Pirates are helping to support the Blue Santa Toy Program, managed by the Georgetown Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association.

Fans attending the Southwestern men's basketball game on December 4th are encouraged to bring a new, unwarpped toy to donate to a child in the Georgetown community.

The Georgetown Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA), a 501c (3) non-profit corporation, manages the Blue Santa Toy Program for the City of Georgetown Police Department.

The GCPAAA has specifically mentioned the need for toys for kids age 9-14 years old. Items such as games, sports equipment, watches, bracelets, etc. are hot items among this age group. No donations of clothing, bicycles, toiletries, skateboards, make-up or toy weapons can be accepted.

There will be a donation box located in the entryway to the gym near the concession stand along with a box for monetary donations.

For more information about Blue Santa or to request a donation barrel at a local business or special event, contact Lt. Todd Terbush with the Georgetown Police Department at (512) 930-2588 or the Volunteer Coordinator at (512) 876-4837. You can also visit bluesanta.georgetown.org to learn more.
