2007-2008 (Sophomore Year)
Cross Country: Pruit competed in five meets for the Pirates and was a top-5 finisher for the team in all of them. His best overall finish was at the Texas Lutheran Invitational where he was the 33rd out of 81 competitors to cross the finish line in a time of 29:44.9. At the South/Southeast Regional Championships, Pruit ran a personal best 8k with a time of 29:10 and placed 92nd in a field of 170.

2006-2007 (First Year)
Cross Country: Pruit competed in five meets for the Pirates and was a top-5 finisher for the team in each. His highest overall finish was at the SU short course where he placed 20th of 54 competitors. He covered the 6k course in 21:37.9. At the South/Southeast Regional Championships, Pruit ran a personal best 8k time of 30:21.4, was the 3rd Pirate to cross the finish line, and placed 99th out of 152.
Track: Pruit competed in four meets for the Pirates. His best overall finish was at the McMurry Relays where he ran a 10:35.02 3200m and finished 8th of 14. Pruit's best 1500m finish was the SCAC Championships where he finished 15th of 18 by running 4:27.93.

High School

Pruit was a three time cross country MVP.

Personal

David is the son of Thomas and Joan and has six brothers and sisters, Caroline, Mary, Anna, John, Daniel, and Barbara.  David is a business major with a minor in chinese.
