Southwestern-McMurry Dual Meet Featured by Swimming World Magazine

Swimming World Magazine has selected Southwestern's duel meet against McMurry University this Saturday (October 11) as a featured competition. The two schools will share the spotlight with University of the Incarnate Word and University of New Orleans, who will also be featured over the weekend.
Head coach Steve Brandt says the team is looking forward to their first away meet of the season. "I'm really excited to get the season started. Our women's teams have traditionally been very close, and both programs have brought in solid first-year classes, which should elevate the caliber of the meet. On the men's side, they've definitely had the upper hand in recent years. They will still outnumber us, but we have a group that's been training really well and I expect them to step up and race tough."
The team will begin their season on Friday at home in another duel meet against University of Houston.
