Has set school records in the 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 Free, 500 Free, 200 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay. Currently is 10th on the SCAC Career Individual Titles List with four.

2008-2009
Was a member of the 400 and 200 medley relay team that came in third and 200 free relay team that finished in fifth place at the SCAC Championships…individually finished in sixth in the 100 breaststroke.

2006-2007 [Sophomore Year]
SCAC Champion in the 100 breast and 200 breast at the 2007 Championship. Also earned all conference honors in the 400 IM and the 200 Medley Relay with a third place finishes. Achieved NCAA "B" cuts in both the 100 and 200 Breast. Set SCAC Meet Record in the 100 breast and had the 3rd fastest 200 Breast in history at the SCAC Championships.

2005-2006 [First Year]
SCAC Champion in the 400 IM and 200 breast at 2006 Championship.

High School
Bergfield was a four year letterwoman in swimming and two year letterwoman in lacrosse at Cranbrook Kingswood Academy in Bloomsfield Hills, Michigan. Was an All-American in the 200 Medley Relay and Academic All-American in both Swimming and Lacrosse. Graduated Cum Laude.

Alana is the daughter of Frank and Deirdre Bergfield...born on April 20, 1987...has one brother-Christopher...is a biology major, business minor at SU.
