Leavell joined the Southwestern University staff in February of 2001. She attended Indiana University / Purdue Univesity in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved to Texas in 2000 with her husband. Priot to Southwestern Leavell was a teacher in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis and worked in the Butler University Athletic Department in Indianapolis from 1994-2000. Susan has one son who is married and a grandson. She enjoys spending time with her family and a variety of hobbies including scrap booking, jewelry making, embroidery, knitting, crocheting and creative writing.
